Tomato Sauce
Ingredients
  • 3 pounds fresh ripe tomatoes preferably Roma or other saucing varieties
Instructions
  1. Remove the stem or other hard parts of the tomatoes and discard.
  2. Take out the seeds if you do not tolerate tomato seeds.
  3. Place the tomatoes into a blender and blend on high until smooth.
  4. Pour the blended tomatoes into a non reactive cooking pot and simmer over medium heat until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
  5. Remove any foam that appears on the top of the sauce and discard.
  6. Add salt to taste or according to the recipe you will use the tomato sauce in.
